Flight & Critical Care Transport Practitioner

Dr. Jacob Miller is a highly accomplished Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Nationally Registered Paramedic with over 2 decades of experience in EMS, critical care, and critical care transport. Jacob received his Master’s degree in adult acute care from the University of Maryland, post-master’s certificate in advanced transport nursing from Case Western Reserve University, and his Doctorate in Nursing Practice and post-graduate certificate in pediatric acute care from the University of Cincinnati.

Jacob is a recognized leader in the EMS and Critical Care Transport industry, with current appointments including:

In recognition of his contributions to the field of EMS and critical care transport medicine, Jacob has earned Fellowship designation in the Academy of Emergency Nursing and Academy of Emergency Medical Services, was recognized as one of ENA Connection’s “20 under 40” in 2023, and was an inaugural “40 under 40: Rising Leaders in Medical Transport” honoree by the Association of Air Medical Services in 2025.

Jacob holds board certifications as a family nurse practitioner, emergency nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, pediatric acute care nurse practitioner, acute care clinical nurse specialist, critical care advanced practice provider, critical care nurse, critical care paramedic, certified flight nurse, and certified flight paramedic.

Jacob currently practices as a critical care nurse practitioner and a critical care transport clinician in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
